The overarching goal of the roadmap is to guide the Philippines to become the leading creative economy in ASEAN by 2030. This envisions a Philippine Graphic Design Industry that benefits all stakeholders, including employers, the academe, and graphic designers themselves.
National economic advancement entails excellent and secured designers, employing design principles and standards.

I also co-presented our insights alongside **Husay.co** Founder Leah Rasay to DTI-CIG (Competitiveness and Innovation Group) Undersecretary Fita Aldaba and industry stakeholders during a public validation session titled Creative CHATS (Collaborative Huddles and Townhall Sessions) – Graphic Design Industry Roadmap Public Validation on May 2, 2024, at the DTI International Building in Makati City.

*During this session, the industry stakeholders (academe and training centers, employers such as advertising agencies and creative studios, and design organizations/communities) officially voted and confirmed the adoption of "visual communication industry" as the new term for the graphic design industry.

This public session was also simultaneously being livestreamed via Zoom for the public.
